About the lot
Tirafkan made Body Signs no. 4 in 2003, covering a male body with stamped blocks, calligraphy and tattoo-like marks. This print is number two of six. Another print of the image was shown in his 2004 exhibition at Lehmann Maupin in New York, and the work is reproduced in the 2005 monograph Sadegh Tirafkan: Iranian Man.
