Keykhowsrow Ghaar (b. 1994, Tehran) began his graffiti practice at the age of 13, inspired by the paintings and lettering found on the walls of the city. He moved to the UK at 17 and continued his graffiti practice while studying Fine Art at Goldsmiths University of London. Following his graduation, he further developed his practice through calligraphy studies, combining graffiti with calligraphic forms. Ghaar participated in Fendi’s project "Ring of the Future" in Rome alongside artists from different countries and has presented his work in numerous solo and group exhibitions internationally. His research into the symbolism and mythology of Iran, the Middle East, and Asia has also informed the visual language of his work.
