FRZ is one of the first-generation street artists from Tabriz, who began his practice in 2006. Working primarily with stencils and paste-ups in urban spaces, he combines diverse visual languages to address social, cultural, and political subjects. Satire and a critical perspective are recurring elements in his work. Since 2014, research into Persian carpets, traditional motifs, and Islamic art has become a central part of FRZ’s practice. By reinterpreting these visual elements through illustration, street art, and contemporary art, he explores connections between Iran’s visual heritage and contemporary artistic language. FRZ has participated in international art projects and exhibitions and has created murals in cities including Naples, Istanbul, Berlin, Milan, Amsterdam, and Munich. His works have also been exhibited in cities such as New York, London, Berlin, and Amsterdam.
