The ARCOmadrid fair celebrates its 42nd edition from 22 to 26 February 2023 in Halls 7 and 9 at IFEMA MADRID. It is a  project that will join the past and present through galleries and its essential relationship with artists and collectors.  This central theme of this latest edition is The Mediterranean: A Round Sea, with the Mediterranean as the central project.

For yet another year, ARCOmadrid will bring together a selection of  international galleries. The new programme revolves around the latest issue, The Mediterranean: A Round Sea, made up of the artists and galleries of the countries surrounding it, selected by the curator, Marina Fokidis, with the advice of Bouchra Khalili and Hila Peleg.///

In addition to the selection of galleries, there will also be a forum  dedicated to research into the shared culture of the Mediterranean countries, to take place on the Friday and Saturday of the fair, in which  collectors, curators, theorists, writers and musicians  who will generate a conceptual context that will accompany galleries and artists.

Along with the  Mediterranean: A Round Sea programme, the fair also continues its usual programmes from previous editions.  The fair’s artistic contents will be rounded off with the main backbone of the Fair, the General Programme, made up of galleries selected by the Organising Committee in addition to the curated sections.

The curated sections from previous editions are also maintained:  Opening, offering new contents and delving into ARCO’s discovery concept; and Never the Same. Latin American Art continuing with the collaboration between artists and galleries from Latin America.  Arts Libris  will host the art publications as a zone focusing on the beginning of collecting, in addition to other initiatives that the ARCO Foundation introduces to foster collecting.
