We can hardly interpret his figures as ethnic figures. You have to discover them or let them reveal themselves to you. It is exactly the closest possible way to reconstruct Middle Eastern situaton. Ariyaei knowingly or unintentonally engages us in a fresh encounter with recurrent existence of the "other". Ariyaei’s paitngs are like a window to a parallel world. A window in which people on the opposite sides stand and judge each other with their own principles. Maybe knowing this fact that he grew up with his grandmother who was an exorcist can lead to a beer understanding of his works and make them more excitng for the viewers.
