Statement:

Malekeh Nayiny is one of the most famous and recognized Iranian women photographers. His work occupies an important place on the Iranian art scene. Born in 1955 in Tehran, she studied photography in the United States, then moved to Paris where she lives and works today.///

Malekeh Nayiny 's work has been regularly exhibited in Iran, Europe and the United States and is included in numerous collections. The changes in Iranian society over the decades, the impacts of the 1979 revolution on the lives of people, particularly women, are themes that occupy a primordial place in the work of Malekeh Nayiny . Her work is a work of memory and continuity: starting from old, erased and old photographs, she produces a new luminous and colorful image. It revives the past, it brings it back to life, it colors it, it makes it joyful, current and eternal. Her photographs tell a unique and simultaneous story: that of a little girl, that of a teenager, that of a woman, that of a family and that of a country.

Looking at Malekeh Nayiny 's photos is to understand something essential about the history of past decades, of life in Iran and its impact on the artist's own life. In Malekeh Nayiny 's nostalgia there is tenderness, poetry, life. An invitation to take a step aside with her.

In the “ Nudes ” series presented in the exhibition Nature Lumineuse: Views of three photographers , the artist represents in timeless settings, a whitened and figureless silhouette of a woman, almost transparent and ghostly: a way of questioning the passage of time, loss and exile , the past which fades giving way to the only light: an ultimate quest towards the timeless and eternal state of Being.

Kaveh Seyed Hosseini is an Iranian artist, photographer, author and translator (notably translator of Raymond Queneau and Georges Luis Borges). Born in Tehran in 1968, he lives and works in Paris.

The series of photographs presented in the exhibition entitled “ Luminous Nature: views of three photographers ”, is a series of photographs of migratory birds, taken over a few years on the shores of the Caspian Sea in Iran. Light is omnipresent in Kaveh Seyed Hosseini 's photographs , white, striking, sharp, as if to propel forward the existence of these migrant birds whose flight, sometimes in pairs, sometimes together in harmony and sometimes only alone, tells the universal and eternal story of these idle birds from the nights of time.

Nastaran Safaei describes the genesis of this series of works in bronze and plexi, representing crushed and deformed female heeled shoes, as follows:

Arman is a photographer of Iranian origin. Born in Tehran in 1963, he lives and works in France.

A professional photographer for over thirty years, during his career  Arman has practiced all professions in photography, ranging from teaching photography in Toulouse to fashion photography in New York. His work has been rewarded several times and is present in numerous exhibitions, notably in Paris, notably at the Municipal Gallery of the Château d'eau and the Luxembourg Gardens.

In Arman's photographs, light has a primordial place and is presented in multiple ways. In the series entitled “  Dark  Trees  ” dream-like trees and forests are photographed. Against deep, dark backgrounds, he displays exquisite flowers, leaves and trees like a painter. The use of negatives gives his photos an unreal appearance: sensual flowers, anatomically shaped leaves and Japanese trees in supernatural colors are captured, somewhere between the real and the unreal. With their contemporary botanical imagery and poetic techniques, these photographs transport us into the artist's intimate landscape. An invitation to contemplate a singular Nature.

Nastaran Safaei, sculptor and multimedia artist, was born in 1984 in Tehran, Iran. She studied graphic design in high school and college, while experimenting with different calligraphy, pottery, and clay sculpting techniques.

From 2013 to 2018, during a series of artist residencies, she created a collection of body prints. Over the past decade, she has ventured into writing, while also producing video art projects as a multimedia artist. Safaei 's work is often influenced by the physical, psychological and cultural aspects of femininity. In addition, she pays particular attention to self-knowledge, iconography and mythology, while drawing inspiration from mundane objects and incorporating them into her productions.
