Statement:

Hamzianpour and Kia is pleased to showcase selected pieces from the "Upside Down" series by Tehran-based artist Sasan Abri. These printed photographs evoke the essence of drawing through scattered lines. Sasan Abri has created “Upside Down” as a sequel to his “Sundays” series with a different approach. Unlike “Sundays,” the miserable flowers of this series are not fresh anymore: they are cut off from their collective lives and embossed on dark backgrounds. The textures are not isolated, smooth, or watercolor-like but rough and uneven.
