Statement:

In quest of our own history, our own past. How do we deal with our past: with our individual experiences as well as with the collectively experienced past? How do these memories and history influence our lives?

with the selected works of 4 international artists, hinter- land wants to start a dialogue and open up for ongoing discussions and talks: Ali Kazim and Babak Kazemi deal with the history of their country, their culture. Clemens Krauss and Siegfried A. Fruhauf focus on their subjective memories of their childhood. What they all have in common is the reconstruction of memory and thus a very personal pursuit of identity.
