Hiva Alizadeh was invited on the occasion of a group show at the milanese gallery The Flat-Massimo Carasi and his participation to artverona 2022.The artist began his career following the path of his father, an experimental filmmaker. Since then, Alizadeh has achieved a more synthesized and personal form of expression that combines new media inspired by the decorative tradition of carpet weaving typical of his region.“To me, a painter, through one’s demonstrative and expressive medium, envisages the external realities reflected in oneself.///

As a response to my innate feeling, and thanks to one of my primary belongings in art being carpet designing, I, likewise, cherished thought of employing the effect of the most exquisite Iranian artistic phenomenon, being carpet, in my work. The flexibility and resilience of ‘hair’, inspired by carpet fibers, in my collections touch on the incessant hardships and sufferings in the world; a world where humans have no alternative but fantasizing and being flexible”.
