The show "How to Be an Iranian?" is a quotation. This installation should be considered as one of the artist's three episodes about the concept of national identity and the great intellectual heritage. Abo Shahi tries to provide his viewers with his intuitions about the concept of tradition in a visual form. He himself explains that for him modernity and modernism are not two opposite points as philosophers such as Oakeshott admit; In this interpretation, the contemporary world is considered the logical path of developments from the traditional world to the present day, as a result, the dichotomy of tradition and modernity or West and East has no place in Shahi's mentality. According to the artist, what makes the work evolve is the range of meaningfulness and impressionability of objects. This is the perception that Shahi introduced in Gonbadnar and Ainekhane and provided us with a reference form over a decade.
