The thought of exploring the urban culture of Tehran provided the central theme of this exhibition. Taking into account the nature of a short stay in the city – this exhibition presents an experimental approach to the research and production of the artworks on display. The key features and inspiration that supported the making process emerged from visiting museums and collections and exploring the urban environment of Tehran between 5 – 20 August 2022. I aimed to connect to the people and the city by being involved in day-to-day activities. In addition, visiting cultural places became a means of communication with some of the historical and cultural layers of Iran. A collection of these approaches enabled me to record social aspects of real life — people’s rituals, ways of living and consecutive events seen in the urban environment.///
