Statement: 

Galerie Mitterrand is pleased to present the first solo exhibition of the Iranian artist Mamali Shafahi. Entitled "Deep Throats: Go deeper", it brings together a series of works especially created for this occasion, featuring hybrid, fantastic, human, and animal creatures. These works express the tensions between traditional Iranian art and our contemporary culture in a playful and threatening way.
