Artist's statement:
In my paintings, I discuss the tense relationship between the city culture and the nature we are part of, but from which we are drawn away by the civilizations we have founded. To emphasize the groundlessness of human-nature duality, I present the space as a kind of puzzle both formally and contextually in the composition and I frequently convey outdoor factors as if they are indoors. Thus, I intend to allow the audience to participate in the painting from various points, by creating a kind of spatial infinity that destroys the balance of conventional compositions whose source and target are not clear. In this process, I act from the concept of “strange attractors” which refers to being surrounded by nature in physics. These attractors draw us into the center of the painting even though we are outside the chaotic structure. This attraction force creates multiple layers in space-time by overlapping various times and spaces, and it creates a cycle in which the problems we think we are not a part of, pull us to themselves and we become aware of the fact that we are doomed to get lost in them.
