Photographic Reflections on Being and Time

To explain the project, Abbas Daneshvari says: “Mohammad Ghazali’s works reflect the desire to erase as much of the eye of the artist as possible....Ghazali’s art, more than any other (contemporary) artist display’s a need to move away from his own core and prescribed substance. Again and again in such works as “Where the Heads of the Renowned Rest” and “Bad and Worse,” He reveals a deep distrust of the primacy of his own vision, as if to see the world as is, one must abandon oneself as well as one’s own certitudes. Wittgenstein’s dictum “...Don’t think, but look,” seems to underlie so much of his creativity as he wishes to reflect the world as is, rather than as his eyes are conditioned to see it.”
