The first solo show of the Iranian artist Benyamin Zolfaghari (Tehran 1986, lives and works in Rome) opens at Curva Pura. The exhibition brings together a selection of small-sized pictorial works that offer an insight into the artist's pictorial language, marked by the speed of execution and the desire to improvise, which turns towards abstract colors while maintaining a solid gaze on figuration in depth, in particular towards the landscape and the human body. An investigation that brings into play the dimension of the sign as a magnetic attractor of suggestions from different disciplinary fields, from literature to history, from architecture to decorative arts, in an intercultural terrain of contamination.
