The Unbearable Uniformity of Being

„Somebody said that Bertolt Brecht [German socialist writer of political theater] wanted everybody to think alike. I want everybody to think alike. But Brecht wanted to do it through Communism, in a way. Russia is doing it under government. It's happening here [in America] all by itself without being under a strict government; so if it's working without trying, why can't it work without being Communist? Everybody looks alike and acts alike, and we're getting more and more that way.“ Andy Warhol/// The coca-cola collection shows that in some cases we all consume in the same way, whether we are educated or not, or we are poor or rich. We consume to find our true existence, without knowing what our true existence or true need is. This would cause such an alienated society (Herbert Marcuse). however, according to Marcuse;” the statement that I consume coca cola the way that you consume it, could be said coca-cola consume me and you and everyone.” Ones that assume if we consume in a same way, therefore, we belong to a larger group of alike ones, this probably causes us to feel peace, a hollow peace, from a hollow feeling stems from the uniformity that does not exist, and its existence cannot lead us to peace and ease.
