Shahryar Nashat Online Show at David Kordansky Gallery

The online exhibition of Shahryar Nashat's works entitled "Firsthand: Shahryar Nashat"  started on October 22   and will continue until November 5, 2021, on   David Kordansky Gallery's website in Los Angeles. "Firsthand: Shahryar Nashat" consists of an interview between Nashat and Juliana Halpert. Halpert, a Los Angeles-based artist   and writer,  talks with Nashat about his recent project. "Firsthand: Shahryar Nashat"  shows the new works of this artist made with Papier-mâché for this event.  

The animal basis of a series of human experiences, the differences between making and dealing with sculpture and moving images, as well as the blurry relationships between the artist and the materials he uses to create the work, are among the themes Nashat has addressed in this show. At the same time, a notable article on Nashat has been published. This article is released by SI (Swiss Institute of Contemporary Art, New York) and Kunsthalle Basel.  

Shahryar Nashat was born in 1975 in Geneva. A renowned sculptor, he graduated from the Geneva School of Fine Arts and has participated in numerous exhibitions and art fairs.
