The European Fine Art Foundation (TEFAF), found in 1988, is one of the leading organizations for fine arts, design, and antiques. TEFAF Maastricht showcases 7,000-year-old works of art; TEFAF New York, on the other hand, focuses specifically on modern and contemporary art and design. By creating a platform to exhibit museum-quality works, TEFAF provides an excellent opportunity for collectors to visit them. But this approach focuses more on presenting works in Maastricht, and since the event expanded to New York in 2016, modern and contemporary works of art have been on display for visitors as well.

Many galleries, including Gagosian Gallery from New York, Ariadne from London, Cardi from Milan, and Bernard Dulon from Paris, participate in TEFAF's 8th edition. The art fair announced that it will have 11 new exhibitors in its online section this year, displaying a variety of works, from contemporary art to nineteenth-century sculptures and paintings. The diversity of the different countries participating in this event has provided a suitable platform for getting acquainted with ancient works of art, from China and India to Belgium and London.

TEFAF New York 2022 art talks include topics such as: "At the Dawn of a New Age: Earley 20th Century American Modernism, "Celebrating One of the Great Abstract Painters: A Tribute to Carmen Herrera's Legacy", and "Sustainability and the Arts: Museums and Public Institution Practices".

Anselm Kiefer is one of the prominent artists participating in this art fair.
