The O Gallery was established in the fall of 2014 under the management of Orkideh Daroodi in a three-story building in Nejatollahi Street, Tehran. From the beginning, the gallery showed interest in presenting artworks by young artists created on small papers or canvases.
In 2017, the O Gallery moved to a two-story building on Sanai Street and reopened in a new space with the group show "Strangers in Paradise". The current gallery building used to have a movie theater and the second floor belonged to a space called Ordibehesht which was active in the fields of design and applied arts. Since 2020 the second floor has been added to the gallery displaying space. Since then, the gallery has generally held two independent shows simultaneously on each floor.
While publishing books and presenting the works of well-known and prominent artists such as Ali Nassir, Shideh Tami, and Mohammad Khalili, the O Gallery mostly shows the works of young and emerging artists. In addition to participating in Teer Art, O Gallery has been active in the international arena such as Artissima, Paper Positions, and Art Dubai.
