19 Jun - 26 Jun, 2022
The Brussels Art Fair (BRAFA), created in 1956, is one of the leading European art and antique fairs. Its 67th edition lasts seven days, from Sunday 19 to Sunday 26 June 2022, and will welcome 115 Belgian and international exhibitors representing 15 countries. After two alternative initiatives temporarily took place, BRAFA will resume this year in its original face-to-face form; a return now long-awaited by both collectors and galleries. After spending 11 years in the Arlequin room of the Galerie Louise, the Fair was established for more than 35 years at the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels before settling for nearly 20 years in the Tour & Taxis venue. From June 2022, the Brafa will change its location and will now be held at Brussels Expo on the Heysel plateau north of the Belgian capital, an emblematic exhibition venue that benefits from spaces adapted for an international fair.
This year BRAFA will be welcoming the Galerie Kevorkian, specialized in the arts of the ancient East and Islamic Civilization, alongside twenty other specialties from archaeology to contemporary art and design. The Galerie Kervorkian will present, amongst others, a set of bronzes from Luristan (Iran), most of which come from a single French collection.
