From Thursday 16 to Sunday 19 March 2023, the 3rd edition of the contemporary art fair Art on Paper Amsterdam will be organized.

At Art on Paper Amsterdam, selected more than 50 galleries concentrate on work on paper by their artists. The fair takes place in the industrial-monumental Gashouder at the Westergas.

Work on paper, whether it be pencil, charcoal, pen and ink, watercolor, gouache or collage, often shows the artist in the most spontaneous and artistically free moment. The directness that is connected with this medium brings artist and viewer closer together.

In their intimacy and vulnerability, works on paper thrive well with the exclusive attention they receive at a specialized art fair.

Extra special is the presentation of the private collection of works of art on paper by artist and collector Armando, organized by the Chabot Museum in Rotterdam.

Armando (1929 – 2018) was a man of many talents. He was a visual artist, poet, theater maker and violinist. During his lifetime he collected 400 works by 121 fellow artists, often as an anonymous buyer.

After the successful Drawing Dates at the previous Art on Paper in Amsterdam, there is once again the opportunity for artists to discuss their drawings with supervisors from the Drawing Inventions Academy.
